Art Explorers: Art Therapy Group is designed for school-aged children that are non-verbal or have limited verbal communication ability. In a structured setting, participants will explore various art mediums as a form of self-expression and communication. One Child staff will use behavior modeling, reflection and mirroring techniques to encourage creative expression, communication, socialization, sensory regulation, and promote self-esteem. Art Explorers sessions meet once a week for 60 minutes and is conducted by an Art Therapist with the aid of a Special Education professional and volunteers as needed.
