About One Child’s ABA Therapy Program
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a highly recommended evidence-based behavioral therapy intervention for individuals with autism and other developmental differences. ABA is considered an intensive therapeutic intervention often occurring multiple sessions a week. A typical ABA session is 2 hours in length and can be conducted in the home, at a center, or in the community.
One Child believes in utilizing ABA techniques and principles to bring about meaningful and positive change in behavior, providing the foundation for successful learning. ABA Therapy teaches children skills by breaking down tasks into small steps and rewarding the child for successfully completing each step. Brushing teeth, responding Yes or No, handing instead of throwing a toy….all skills that we work on in ABA Therapy sessions.
