Speech- Language Pathologist, PRN

Position Summary:  Seeking licensed Speech-Language Pathologist  for a PRN contract position that offers flexibility in scheduling and the option to work independently and as part of a team. Experience working with children (ages 2-14) with a wide range of speech/language delays or disabilities in  various settings both individual and in groups. 

Professional Requirements:

  • A Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • ASHA(CCC) Certification
  • Active VA State license required 
  • Active CPR Certification

Responsibilities:

•Conducts screenings and evaluation(s) 

•Develops and executes treatment plans

•Performs effective treatment techniques in a competent manner

•Communicates to client/family/caregiver applicable health information and treatment

•Establish and maintain effective working relationships;

•Work independently with little direction;

•Communicate effectively both orally and in writing;

•Maintain accurate records and prepare reports;

•Work confidentially with discretion.

•Performs other department activities such as, but not limited to documentation, billing, support of department operations, etc.

 

Experience:

•Experience working with children with behavior challenges

 • Experience working in a medical/clinical setting a plus

•Experience with pragmatic language groups is a plus

Position Summary:  Seeking licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for a PRN contract position that offers late afternoon/early evening hours and the opportunity to work as part of a team. 

Professional Requirements:

  • A Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • ASHA(CCC) Certification
  • Active VA State license required 
  • Active CPR Certification

•Conducts screenings

•Develops and executes plans for social skills groups

•Performs effective treatment techniques in a competent manner

•Communicates to client/family/caregiver applicable health information and treatment

•Establish and maintain effective working relationships;

•Communicate effectively both orally and in writing;

•Work confidentially with discretion.

 

Preference given to those with:

•Experience working with children with behavior challenges

•Experience with pragmatic language groups is a plus

Professional Requirements:

  • A Master’s Degree in Education or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Active VA State license (if applicable) 
  • Active CPR Certification

•Develops and executes plans for social skills groups

•Performs effective treatment techniques in a competent manner

•Communicates to client/family/caregiver applicable health information and treatment

•Establish and maintain effective working relationships;

•Communicate effectively both orally and in writing;

•Work confidentially with discretion.

•Experience working with children with behavior challenges

•Experience in a groups setting a plus

Kids’ Night Staff 

Position Summary:  KIDS’ Night’s are held ONE Saturday a month from 4:30pm-9:30pm at the Williamsburg Indoor Sports Complex.  KIDS’ Night Staff are expected to help children participate in the various activities at the WISC- Staff should be prepared to run, jump and play! Priority will be given to individuals that work with special needs children in their daily employment to include those in educational and therapy fields. 

We have various staffing needs and will assign staff to the position in which they are best suited.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee 10-20 children as they engage in physical activity;

• Assign volunteers to tasks as needed;

• Handle Bathroom Issues (from changing diapers to escorting children to bathroom);

• Set-Up/Tear Down Party Rooms;

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships;

• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing;

• Work confidentially with discretion.

 

Experience:

• Experience working with children with behavior challenges

• Active CPR Certification a plus
