Can I change which days my child will attend from week to week?

No, once you have committed to a particular day and time slot (morning or afternoon) your child will only be able to attend at those designated times for the 9 week semester. This is for safety so we can assure the same group of children routinely interact with each other and also for planning purposes to ensure we are staffed properly.

Are drop off and pick up times flexible?

We ask that you not drop off earlier than 10 minutes prior to the session. Pick up time is flexible during the ‘bonus social activity hour’, which for morning sessions is 11:30am-12:30pm and for afternoon is 4-5pm. If your schedule requires additional flexibility, please reach out to us at 757-585-3216.

What are the session times?

Morning sessions are 7:30am-11:30am with an additional bonus social activity hour until 12:30pm.

Afternoon sessions are 12-4pm with an additional bonus social activity hour until 5pm.

The bonus hour is designed to give parents flexibility in picking up their child and for your child to have some time for structured socialization. Your child is welcome to stay for the whole or any part of the last hour.

How were the session times chosen?

Times were chosen to align with available morning and afternoon sample virtual elementary and middle school schedules from the School Districts. We also considered parent feedback on convenient drop off and pick up times.

Will OC Academy be offered for the whole school year?

OC Academy will be offered throughout the 2020-2021 school year. We have chosen enroll in 9 week segments so that we can best adjust to the School District schedules.
