One Child staff will be reviewing registrations and grouping children in classrooms based on their grades and abilities. One Child may ask to place your child in a session different from what you selected if we feel it will benefit the kids.
One Child will confirm your child’s placement by Sept 1. Note that if we are unable to place your child in an OC Academy class, One Child will refund your $85 deposit fee.
Each 5-hour session will include:
4-8 kids will be in each room
Each room will be staffed by an Educational Assistant that will remain with your child for the entire duration of the session. The Teacher assigned to your child will push-in to assist as needed.
Yes. One Child staff will ensure that your child is logged in and ready to participate in any live online sessions throughout the duration of their OC Academy session.
Prior to the start of OC Academy, One Child will request a copy of your child’s IEP or 504 plan to best inform staff about your child’s academic needs. Additionally, One Child will also seek parent input about areas of need for your child.
No worries, One Child staff will be reaching out to every parent to learn about the needs of their child.
Our staff will use daily communication log to update parents of their child’s progress with their assignments, and parents can also use it to update One Child staff about the child’s needs.
Age appropriate activities will be established with for the child to work on as time allows.
