What is Skill Builders LEGO® Edition?
Therapy becomes play in a fun environment where a child’s interest in LEGO® helps foster social interaction and language skills!
One Child’s Skill Builders LEGO® Edition provides a unique opportunity to practice skills in a highly motivating and rewarding environment. The Skill Builders LEGO® groups work specifically on cooperative play (giving and taking direction, following directions), problem solving, communication skills, and more.
Who can benefit from Social Skills Groups?
Children who have trouble navigating social settings. Many of these children may have autism spectrum disorder (ASD), speech-language delays, ADD/ADHD or other developmental delays.
How are the Social Skills Groups structured?
Each Skill Builders Group meets once a week for 90 minutes for 8 weeks. One Child Skill Builders Groups consist of no more than 6 participants and are conducted by a certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) and Special Education Professional. Participants are grouped together based on their age and ability as determined by the SLP.
